I can never understand this argument in the press and here about Saddam. I met a lady who was born and lived in Fallujah. She can't understand it either being and Iraqi and knowing them well

Me neither. I often feel like asking the proponents of this argument to tell me that they know this is just partisan mud-slinging. That, I can understand. But anyone who actually believes that "Saddam complied" and not finding WMDs "proves" that Iraq was no threat - well, it must be nice inside their heads with Peter Pan and the Easter Bunny. To give the benefit of the doubt to Saddam Hussein! With his track record of invading the neighbors, using poison gas and killing Iraqis by the hundred thousand! The man was a walking WMD in his own person, just by crazy risk taking, bad judgment, and habits of extreme brutality.

The funny thing is how these same people are completely unmoved by the testimony of your friend or any other Iraqis. They think they know better.
