the commission that President Bush charged with evaluating U.S. intelligence capabilities has been practicing the kind of operational security that would make its subject proud.

Operational security (OPSEC) is the single biggest flaw in an open society like ours.

And it continues to be a real problem.

A counter-intelligence (CI) operation called Purple Dragon conducted in the Pacific during the Vietnam war proved that.

Years from now we will learn about the Iraq war's OPSEC Flaws.
The CI operation may be called brown Camel.

I believe the problem (and it is a massive one) will only be solved when Congress stops leaking classified info.

I am a past member of The Purple Dragon Society. I quit paying dues only because I did not believe they were continuing to be effective.

The only good news from that is that perhaps it is up to NK and Iran to believe, or not to believe, that our Intel info is up to date....

Hopefully, it is. But if it is, and they believe we couldn't know....

One thing is sure. We couldn't have a better team at the top. The problem may be all the folks who have been entrenched there for years...and years...folks like Richard Clarke, Michael Scheuer, and yes, even Joe Wilson....
