Raising the US contribution is a non-starter... but reform of the UN's structure is LONG OVERDUE, and reform starts with the Security Council (then, later, it will be the General Assembly). For example, why does France have a Security Council seat while Japan --- with a much larger economy --- does not? Likely to be added to the Security Council (though probably without veto powers) are: Japan, Germany, Brazil, India, and maybe South Africa. (I.e., 2 from Asia, 1 from Europe, 1 from South America, 1 from Africa). A second from Africa and a second from South America (like Mexico) are probably 'on the bubble'.
