Oh, work is always a pain in the butt at some point. Sooner or later you come against intractable problems or irritating customers, vendors who rip you off, etc. Certainly taxes and liability take a great deal of the fun out of it. Taxes and being sued aren't intrinsic to work but have everything to do with the money you get in return for your work and the desire on the part of others to redistribute it to others. The problems are attached to money. Money always creates more problems than it resolves.
