ZAP Rolls out Newly Americanized SMARTCAR for Consumers and Industry Observers at Leading West Coast Auto Expo

SANTA ROSA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 30, 2005--ZAP (OTCBB:ZAPZ - News), pioneering the next generation of advanced transportation and energy technologies, will be displaying several models of its high-efficiency SMARTCAR vehicles at the 15th Annual Inland Empire Auto Show, one of the largest West Coast automobile shows, to be held at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., March 30 - April 3.

The Inland Empire Auto Show will feature over 300 domestic and foreign vehicles on display during the five-day event. Show attendees will have an opportunity to see the unique and enterprising features of the SMARTCAR Americanized by ZAP, including its advanced fuel-efficient technology, and innovative safety technology, including the Tridion Safety Cell "crashbox," low-speed dent-resistant body panels and dual airbags. The vehicle's other standard features include a performance engine and proprietary transmission technology, as well as other options.
