Folks, there are MUCH BETTER ways to die than

-- massive drug doses
-- guns
-- any of the normal medical approaches

They involve learning about the fact that beings have THREE
bodies:

-- physical
-- subtle (light/energy body)
-- causal (your pre-disposition to experience in given ways)

In death you drop the PHYSICAL body, but the other two bodies continue in a state that is roughly analagous to the dream state. During this period you process and digest unfinished events and experiences of the just concluded life in the physical but you do NOT add new "experience". Then, when
conditions are appropriate you become re-associated with the physical via a new birth.

The process of dropping the body takes up to THREE DAYS from the time of so-called physical death. This process can be aided enormously by:

-- leaving the body intact--washed and set out in quiet and benign setting--no embalming--body kept cool by dry ice
-- no MASS SCENES of funerals etc
-- vigils of friends/closest loved ones so that the body is accompanied/assisted round the clock for the full 3 day period
-- after the 72 hour process, the physical body is cremated

I have assisted in the death of 2 parents and 3 friends this way. It is a remarkable spiritual experience.

Suicide in any form is a great complication.

The whole process can be aided in life by learning how to align
attention/breath/feeling and actions towards the Divine. That process continues and is mightily intensified in the death process.

The best book on the subject in my opinion is EASY DEATH.
A new edition is coming out shortly but the previous edition is available at:
