You gave up much too easily, Elroy. A couple of years ago, when you were still claiming to have an econ degree from UC Berkeley (don’t see you touting that anymore, BTW) and FRIGHTENED BY DEFLATION you were agog over “Econ textbooks by Kindleberger & Stone.”

Paul Samuelson once asserted that when one is unclear in their understanding of a subject they believe both “A” and “Not A”. He said this largely about himself in the aftermath of the “capital controversy” of the 1960’s. If a respected PhD economist can admit to an unclear understanding of his subject, then it is alright for you to do so also, Elroy.
