His latest postings riled you? You must rile easy. We used to have some real fun in the old days, back when oil was at $11 and many a punter's account had been shredded.

The reason why things are so nice here is that now people have gains and would like to get more of them (and are not, to my way of thinking, spending enough time thinking about how to make sure those gains in the account in March will be there in July).

Back in the old days (1998-2000), back in the Olde Country, things were very different. A position in Grey Wolf could and did go from $10 to 68 cents in less than a year and a half. PTEN, split-adjusted and merger-adjusted, went from $16 to $1.29 in the 18 months that ended in March of 1999. Altogether now, let's exhale slowly to the sound of "hoo-law."

Just imagine how riled you might have been back then.

You don't know how bad it can get with Slider. It depends on how you take it too. When he nailed me in the past, I didn't take it personal. He has a different view and a different way of articulating it.

Slider is very good at macro events. Those with a different time frame need to separate the wheat from the chaff.

He actually had some very solid arguments recently about managing risk. Going on margin during a consolidation phase after a strong run up is not a strategy that will provide consistent results. Protecting some profits during that same stage is a strategy that will provide consistent results.

You should have read the great battles between him and Sarge. Hoo boy!

I'm down to 35% energy. Sold my positions in DVN, TLM, and PCZ. Love the liquidity of these shares.

Did not like the sharp CL sell off a few minutes ago.

I've got cash and will wait for the dust to settle.
