Nah... I doubt that that would be the first thing most people would mention (the cost). That would probably be far down the list.

Probably they would first say that keeping someone mostly brain dead in a living Hell of medical life support is cruel and inhumane... and secondly they would probably say that it's a question for the Courts, not for scheming, pandering politicians.
