Ted, if all things were equal, I'd defer to the judgement of the husband over the parents. However, all things are not equal because the husband's motives are suspect. Legally this probably means squat, but morally it makes all the difference in my mind.

And why are the husband's motives suspect?

As for yourself, some on this thread would argue that you already exhibit all of the intellectual qualities of a vegetable ...

Be careful what you ask for... by the time you are old medical science will probably be capable of keeping you heart beating indefinitely, maybe forever. They are probably close to that now... but they make pragmatic decisions.

How long do you want to live? Past your "natural" lifespan?
