It is within Catholic Doctrine that a person can refuse medical treatment like the feeding tube. Even if it will lead to death. Church Doctrine is no third party including spouse can speak for another in case like this that is in effect assisted Suicide. One could argue Micheal is violating his faith, but we both know no one has legal standing to make a case out of that.
