Unfortunately for her, she favors me, but somehow manages to pull it off and is a doll.

Just got back from her district solo performance.

It was the worst I'd ever heard her play the piece, and just a few measures into it, I muttered to the band director, who was my page turner, "This is the most sluggish piano I've ever felt". It was awful!

And she still managed a 1 rating. What saved her is that she played right on past the mistakes without missing a beat. She had a serious case of cotton-mouth. Such a bad one that it was obvious, despite the mistakes, that she really knew how to play the piece. All of her mistakes were lip-related.

Can't wait to see the critique sheet, though.
