===> "I have been very surprised to find that the right to die is a very big issue with seniors." <===

Even among the young, the quality of life is extremely important. No one, in their right mind, would want to spend the rest of their lives, on their back, day after day, as some weird, brainless eating and shatting machine, having food pumped in through one end, and uncontrollably out the other into a diaper.

Seniors value, and are more conscious of their independence, than the young, because the older we get, the bigger the odds that we may end up like Terri, spending a horrible life, hour after hour, day after day, year after year, flat on our backs.
