I am sorry to hear that. Such knowledge is very expensive in personal coin. I suspect that a big reason why such a large percentage of people polled is that too many have paid similar prices or had people close who have.

They keep pointing out how much longer we're living......and in terms of years, its true. But those last years of life are hardly living. If things go bad in my last years, I really hope I have the courage to have the cord pulled.

Indeed...most of us would not hesitate to make the decision to die with dignity for myself...making it for someone else is another matter.
