If I were in his shoes, totally innocent of wrong doing and truly interested only in Terri's welfare, I would yield up any control or power I had to somebody who wanted to care for her. And then I would get on with my life in an honorable way. It's really hard NOT to be suspicious, based on his behavior. Where there is smoke, there is usually fire. But sometimes that doesn't matter to people. I have trouble listening to her family because it seems as though they are in deep denial. I heard one guy, not family, likening her mother Mary to Mary the mother of Jesus. I thought that was pretty far out. The politicians are just covering their butts, but they know they are in a crossfire of the highest magnitude.
