This is not quite correct.

Yes, it is.

Only part of the truth, Elroy.
I have 2 Chinese friends from Hongkong, Bernie and Ronny. Bernie looks very typical Chinese, round face and everything. His brother Ronnie actually looks very Japanese and when my wife-to-be said so he confirmed, that quite often would he be addressed in Japanese when travelling on business in Japan. Never happened to Bernie though.

The Koreans have longer, somewhat more square faces with higher cheekbones and generally stronger bone structures than the Japanese.
Quite good looking women too if you like the faces a little bit longer.
Definitely much better opera singers too.
And easy to spot if you follow the garlic...

Now above is all a rough generalization obviously with a lot of counter evidence if you look for it. But I am as good as my wife in spotting a Japanese, Korean or Chinese (the easy one) out of the crowd, the women easier than the men. And you are right, they do (mostly...) wear clothes in those cases, part of it. But don't let a Louis Huitton bag fool you, such accessories are no longer exclusively Japanese attributes.
