It was fun....They even put a little bitty blurb in the paper about it! Beautiful weather, and made me think it would be a nice place to live...definitely cleaned up over 15 years ago. Had dinner with with a gal last night that had drunk the entire vat of Dem KoolAid (Bush daddy oil, Jr the WORST President in the entire US History (she's a history major...and thinks Evergreen is a SUPER school...but she's from MN, LOVED Kerry, etc ...<gag> Finally, she said to me...."You're not going to mention politics, are you?????????? I said, like I was aghast, """"of COURSE not...After all, these folks were some of the original Temperance people and abolition people before it was a popular thing to do...AND besides, the parties were entirely different then. Almost a flipflop of what they were called then versus today.....Besides, the people of yesteryear were certainly more 'genteel' than some of the folks like moveon and answer are today..........""""""" We agreed we wouldn't talk politics after I raised some tough questions for her.....we then talked about the Capital and the history of the area...LOLOL!
