what on gods earth must the pain of death be like? A guess? Probably commonly your brain checks out first. It's a fairly sensitive organ. There may be little or none by the time you actually die. BEFORE THAT, though, can be a whole 'nuther story. I watched it up close and personal once as anything but a disinterested observer. The right-to-life nutcases protesting Schiavo need to be in that hospital bed. I bet there would not be one who would not change their opinion.
