re: Its not a fact, its an interpretation or spin, the alternate interpretation that revenue has been roughly static while spending has increased greatly so the deficit is caused by the spending increase is a valid one based on solid facts. Crap. Government revenues go up with GDP, except the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy stopped that from happening. It's the tax cuts and the spending that is causing the deficit. Where would the revenue be without the tax cuts? John
