I watch the happiest and healthiest individuals I know suffer through the daily traumas of life on an on-going basis. There's a rather sharp contrast between "the daily traumas of life" and intractable pain. I watched a little bit of news coverage on Terri's circumstance. I didn't perceive an inordinate level of sufferage. It's a bit hard to suffer when the higher brain centers are gone. It's a bit hard to resume anything like a normal life too. "Right-to-life nutcases" ??? Is that what this is all about... again?
