Yes, it was from a CAT scan that they determined her brain was mush, according to what I've read.

I don't know what possible functional or structural difference it makes that she has not had an MRI but has undergone CT scans. If her cortex has been turned into fluid as the documentation I've read suggests, either test is adequate.
