"Tighter registration will reduce the supply of 'loose' guns while allowing legitimate owners access" It will create another beuaracracy, allow the gov't to know more about you than they already do, and DO NOTHING TO CHANGE HOW CRIMINALS GET THERE GUNS. Thereby penalizing the honest guy for exercising a right. I don't think people like you can see how criminals usually think. Honest law abiding guys going through backgorund checks to get guns (which already happens) is not how criminals get guns. Sorry dude. Your extra layer of government intrusion would do NOTHING except tell Barbara Boxer and Dianne Fienstien where I live if their dream of stripping me of my 2nd amendment right comes true. Perhaps a reason you think we should all be in a government database.
