"What DOES it mean, then?" Not sure it means anything. I don't take an issue like this to judge a man as you do. "Do you think a Supreme Court Justice should have "something to say" during these extremely important trials?" I feel that he would say something if he felt it pertinent. But that he most likely has no desire to yammer on endlessly to hear his own voice. Sounds like a secure judge. "Should they not be asking probing questions?" See above. And I assume he has asked some in his career.
