I wouldn't argue that at all. I had thought the issues here had been settled. I have medical power of attorney for my wife and she has it for me. They allow the competent spouse to order discontinuation of artificial life support if there is no hope of recovery to a functional state. I want them to be valid. And unfortunately it is our own party, for its own political purposes, that is pushing this matter. It seems there is now evidence (according to TV reports) that DeLay thinks this will provide a good distraction from his own problems. I say fire the jerk and let him face the music.
