The directors cut was full of references homosexual sex. Benicio Del Toro in particular comes off as being gay, as does Kevin Pollak.

I'm reluctant to re order The Usual Suspects through netflix. I'm afraid I'll get the director's cut again. Will wait until I get another coupon from Hollywood Video and rent it through them.

Angles and Demons was the first book I read by Dan Brown. I literally couldn't put it down and stayed up all night (til 3:30 am) to finish it. I couldn't wait to read his other books. I have read them all and liked Angles and Demons and Digital Fortress best of all. Imo The Da Vinci Code is over rated. I can see why some would be offended and shocked, but in my mind it was just a well put together novel.

And I agree about the stories coming out of Hollywood. There don't seem to be very many serious writers out there any longer. I can't stand the pap they call comedy. It is getting more and more difficult to justify spending $5.00 at the matinee.....the choices suck.

I think Hollywood makes a good movie or two every other year or so.

I came to appreciate how difficult it is to make a good movie by watching the special features on the "Open Range" video. It takes hundreds of dedicated and talented people.

I guess I will have to read Angels And Demons, since you recommend it so highly. However, I decline to watch The Usual Suspect based on the information in your message.
