Well lets look at the requirements:

He never got a hard pass because the Standing Committee of Correspondents because they never got the information they required. No big deal. There is no requirement for a hard pass. Notice it says most but not all correspondents have a hard pass.

For a non-hard pass (day pass) looks like there are no requirements other than running the person's Social Security Number through the FBI's databases and working for a news organization. Well you can drive a truck through the new organization description. That isn't a rule at all. Is Talon a new organization, of course it is. Is the Talon a news organization the Democrats don't like? Of course it is, but thats not a requirement to get a day pass is it? Was this guy a security threat based on the FBI's information? Convicted felon? Terrorist Watch List..apparantly not because he got his day passes. Whats the problem? The rules as stated were all followed.
