Those animals that were slaughtered on small farms lived natural animal lives until they were killed, at least. I don't think that is a negative for arguing for sustainable agriculture. It's sort of a red herring, in fact.

I asked anyone here who was interested to watch that program on LinkTVe about sustainable, organic agriculture, and I bet absolutely no one did. I really would have liked to discuss it with someone. You are a good man, Ish, but I think you have bought into the idea of high technology agriculture even though it destroys the soil and kills people with all the pesticides.

There are lots of organic farms in my neck of the woods, and the farmers sell their products to local grocery store chains that support sustainable agriculture. And they sell a lot at local farmers' markets. This is not an impossible system. But the big agritech companies will not profit doing things that way, so the idea is very threatening to them.
