You are correct that many bad ideas are not particularly selfish, but I don't believe I said that they were. I continue to believe that libertarianism is a selfish belief system, however. I understand that there are some fairly idealistic libertarians around, and I am not asserting that libertarians are bad people. I think perhaps they are too idealistic about trusting individuals but not government, and too optimistic about how a society would function under a libertarian system.
