If I smoke a cigarette SO that the smoke will produce a coughing fit in a nearby asthmatic, then I clearly intended to cause the coughing fit. one does wonder why the Japanese would ally themselves with Hitler. Because Japan and Germany had the same enemies in Britain and America. Furthermore, Germany's rule of France and the Netherlands made the French and Dutch Asian colonies friendly territory because of the German-Japanese alliance. This kind of thing is common in world history. What is it you want? For one thing that my country not be unduly slandered. The US has its sins, both past and present, (though we differ on the present ones) - we don't need people inventing imaginary ones.
