Well quite honestly it should be your decision if you want it done and not imposed on you from a higher source. There is probably some good hygiene reasons for having it done but a lot of mistakes are made in hospitals that do it. I know of one lawsuit locally where a boy had half his genitals knocked off with the instrument used to perform the operation. If Grainne is against it I find it a powerful argument to be in favour of it. What is your preference?
