I don't know why you are so sure feeding Terri is such a grave violation when it is NOT well established what her wishes are. I'd have to assume I know her wishes to agree with you, and I KNOW neither of us knows what her wishes were/are.

I said it would be a violation to me. However, I suspect that would be true of just about any human being. The procedure forces her back into a womblike state where she is fed through an artificial umbilical cord.

As for the testimony of her care givers, their comments were closely scrutinized by the courts. It was concluded that they were wrong and she is in a vegetative state. This conclusion was not reached lightly or without thorough investigation. Furthermore, it was reached several times since the Schindlers kept contesting the court's decision.

Bottom line: her husband is her legal guardian. After a complete and exhaustive investigation, the state of Florida has concluded that it is time to stop the artificial feeding. Too many ill informed people are trying to second guess the state because her parents keep making desperate pleas to the public and voicing accusations that are unsubstantiated.
