"What about a state registration, like the DMV?" What about just realizing this will not lower crime, and is another layer of big brother looking into your life. They also tax our cars, so I am sure you will want that too. I know the CA gov't would have NO TROUBLE going after these folks $ based on emotional "arguments" to emotional folks like you who would back them BIG TIME. Not that I don't like you or anything, but why not go to a country like Canada if you want no guns and greater government control of the population? "Guns are dangerous enough to qualify as something the government should know the whereabouts of..." Funny. I would reverse those things. I think the framers would have too.
