Yes! Good point. I've wondered about that and have seen references to the curious emergence of big buyers from the Caribbean recently.

And to tell you the truth, if the Fed is faced with the choice of imposing pain in the US by fighting inflation, raising interest rates, destroying asset values OR monetizing away the debt and inflicting the pain on creditors here and abroad, which is the path of least resistance? (Do you think the Fed has a printing press in the Caribbean <ggg>)
