FAR OUT!

Generally, I'm not in favor of gov't intervention in private school affairs, but I'd make an exception for something like this. I wonder what the Muslims would say about a Jewish school doing the equivalent.

And I wonder what would happen down here. I can just see some state gov't letting it pass and nothing happening.

I'm a judge for the regional science fair here. We also get called on by schools to judge their school science fairs, the reasoning being that they are getting the same people and the same POV that will be judging those exhibits if they make it to the regional.

Some years ago I judged at a private Muslim school here. I was impressed by the quality of the exhibits and numerous exhibits from that school went on to the regional and won there.

I was also impressed by the display cases at the front of the school. Instead of the football, basketball, and baseball trophies you usually see, they had academic awards won by the students- -including science fair awards.

I also saw no signs of anything suggesting an attempt to incite anti-Jewish hatred.

Not that it doesn't happen at some schools, I'm sure.
