Whether you have a 'right' to guns is debatable. That's a rat hole I'd prefer not to go down, because it cannot be resolved definitively until the SC quits hiding.

I said 'meaningful regulation' because the half-ass stuff on the books is not working. A simple yearly registration of guns be of great benefit to law enforcement, just like the yearly registration of cars.

Nuclear arms are also very safe - they don't go off by themselves. Someone needs to pull the trigger. Yet, I would feel very uncomfortable if they were not regulated.

I have made no false statements. We simply disagree on our point of view.

A few words of "wisdom" from the NRA:

NRA Leader Advocates Guns for Teachers

By ARTHUR H. ROTSTEIN, Associated Press Writer

PHOENIX - All options should be considered to prevent rampages like the Minnesota school shooting that took 10 lives — including making guns available to teachers, a top National Rifle Association leader said Friday.

"I'm not saying that that means every teacher should have a gun or not, but what I am saying is we need to look at all the options at what will truly protect the students," the NRA's first vice president, Sandra S. Froman, told The Associated Press.
