Siamese cats are so intelligent--I'm sure she knew what she was doing. That is so sad, though. She sounds like a wonderful pet. It must have been really agonizing when she left.

The Eskimos used to do what your cat did. The old would just wander off into the cold snow and never come back. They did this when they knew or believed they were dying.

Having read about their practice when I was only in grade school I was fascinated and at the time thought that it was a great thing to do. They never were a burden to anyone.

As I grow older I am re evaluating..
