Re, Real Estate Boom.

I just got back from 3 weeks in Naples. It is unreal. I read in the paper where as many as 23% of the condos were purchased for "investment". Is that suggesting a mania or what?

The house next door to the place we were staying went on the market for $3.2 million. It is less than 5,000 square feet. It is a $500K house on a $2.8M lot. Granted it is 3-1/2 blocks from the beach. But that is hard for an old Okie to understand.

I met a real estate agent who sold $77 million in homes last year and is way ahead to that schedule this year.

Best,

JRH
