Nicely put.

Yes, wasn't it? I enjoy putting a critique of an article with the article, as I did in that case. Gives some perspective to it.

With blogs and overseas reporting, such as the Australian Broadcast Service, we have too many sources now to get fooled for long on stories.

We are going to have to take results from Iraqi Army sources with a grain of salt. They are falling into the old Arab habit of puffery. The story yesterday about "80 terrorists killed" is an example. Doesn't look like they really had that body count.

Some of the Military are returning to the US. One is Lt. Brian Suits of KVI radio Seattle. Brian is a most interesting young man, and and tells some of the stories of his year in Iraq as an Officer leading a platoon of men and women. Explore the links on his site...

Read this one for sure:

Lieutenant-Colonel Tim Collins, commander 1st Battalion, Royal Irish Regiment Battle Group, briefed his troopers on March 19, 2003, the day battle in Iraq would begin.

We have excerpts from his talk that will make the hair stand up on your back and send shivers up and down your spine. This is courage and compassion at their best.
