You seem a foolish doubting thomas here, IMO. I won't say the same for myself when I fail to rely on Doctor assurances that Terri feels and thinks nothing. My mother, healthy today at 80, had a hysterectomy decades ago. She couldn't feel a thing, and was officially "out." She heard the "whole" conversation between two Doctors during the operation just the same. One Doctor said to the other something to the effect that "that looks bad, what do you think?" The other said "I hate to take as much as I have already in one so young." During a check-up some weeks later, she finally asked the Doctor what he had been talking about when he said that. He was astounded, and was concerned she'd felt pain and wasn't really out. Again, she felt nothing, but accurately reported the whole conversation. You really should check into these things for yourself or shut-up, IMHO, rather than behaving childishly in ignorance, as you have in this little exchange.
