I've never tried those dehumidifiers. What is different is as the over the past few years I find myself less tolerant of the heat and humidity here. Perhaps it started happening once I started taking trips the past few years to cooler, dryer climates during our endless summer and when I would get back to Florida and get off the airplane I really noticed how hot and humid it was here. It really is a climate for just bottling yourself inside in the A/C the next seven months unless you are into water sports or the beach which makes it all tolerable for someone like me who enjoys that stuff. Most of the recent arrivals will find out soon enough.
