Solid Economic Growth At End Of 2004

Solid business and consumer spending helped the economy grow in the last quarter of 2004 at an annual rate of 3.8 percent. The first quarter of 2005 is expected to do even better.

The economy added a sizable 262,000 jobs in February, the most since October. Analysts are hopeful that another 220,000 were created in March, when the government releases a new employment report on Friday.
