Fighting deflation is just another example of how dysfunctional the Monetarist system is. In capitalist economies, productivity growth produces lower prices and deflation. Deflation is the normal state of affairs.

If the Fed, and inflation clowns like Milton Friedman, had not convinced you that deflation is your mortal enemy they would not be able to levy the heavy monetarist tax which robs your savings of value each year.
