Exactly. It should (but it doesn't) make Lazarus furious that Bush doled out $1.2 BILLION to Christian charities as a sop to his fundamentalist hysterical supporters. They aren't satisfied with that money and expect much, much more.

Where did that money go? No one knows. Did it go to nice houses and nice buildings and nice vacations and cars for the wealthy? No one knows. Did it go to building hospices (how many beds can be built and maintained for that kind of money?) and maintaining them for those in need? No one knows.

There's plenty of money in the US of A to make sure that everyone gets a basic safety net for a reasonable standard of living. It's simply that we've created (starting with Reagan and exacerbated with Bush II) the widest wealth gap since the 1920s where $50 million homes house a single family while others become indentured in bankruptcy due to a single medical event.

That anyone in the US of A is dumb enough or evil enough to vote for and support this ideology is mind numbing.
