Well, I think it's a point worth talking about since it seems clear the US is headed for recession.... can there be hyper inflation {or let's just say 'runnaway inflation' or even high inflation rates} AND a recession??? I don't see why not personally... we had "stagflation", what's the difference but the severity?

I have never argued that the US will experience hyperinflation and depression at the same time as did Argentina.

But I do maintain that another big drop in the dollar (following the strong bear market rally now underway) could lead to high single-digit CPI inflation together with a serious recession. That plus sky high interest rates (at least by current standards)
