In the context of this tragedy, she must be referring giving guns to teachers while they are in school. Otherwise, what would be the point?

I cannot imagine a worse scenerio than having armed teachers at school. Teachers are not law enforcement, and even well trained law enforcement officers make mistakes and kill innocent people. Assuming the teachers would not have the training and capabilities of our law enforcement, the number of accidents and incidents would be frightening. Not to mention the prospect of having guns in a place populated by hormone-ravaged teenagers...

I think it is a stupid idea. I think a large majority of people in the US would think it is a stupid idea. I'm not taking it 'off the table', I'm expressing my opinion. I'd LOVE for the NRA to keep talking this 'option' up; it will finally open the eyes of their supporters as to how irresponsible they are...

Perhaps we could put the teachers behind glass partitions. They could have their own hallways and never actually come close enough to the students to be put in harm's way. We could even have the boys and girls separated too. The boys would be left to fight it out among themselves.<;-)
