His uncorroborated testimony would not equal "clear and convincing evidence," period. That is sufficient for "preponderance of the evidence" but not "clear and convincing."

On that we can agree at least. If we want to set the bar that high before terminating life support, fine. But a spouse's testimony should be given great weight in the absence of any evidence of contrary intent, IMO.
