I have always agreed the military "dropped the ball" for one reason or another on the morning of 911, and thought it was absurd when Rice testified there was "nothing that could have been done" to prevent 911 from happening... For one thing, tighter control of our borders may have helped, and after the first jet attacked the WTC, there was little excuse why the second jet was allowed to strike... Poor preparation and slow response times added greatly to the human suffering IMHO.
