We don't know how the Shindlers were going to pay for the care of Terry if they'd been given the opportunity. I don't care how the Schindlers pay for Terri or don't pay for her. That's only one person and, in any event, they're willing to take responsibility. If the systemic change you and others seem to favor is implemented, then there will be lots and lots of people with unwilling families and/or limited resources lingering indefinitely on life support and that will take a lot of money.
