Expensed options
It is my understanding that cost of options grants must be deducted from ( or included in) earnings beginning around June of this year.
If so, that would affect Dell earnings reported after the next earning report in May

In the past the cost of options grants were stated briefly
near the end of the yearly reports.
I have had no success reading last years Report off the web site, as my PDF reader is not working correctly.
It is possible that the cost was stated around page 20 to 25.

That is stopping me from considering investing in Dell , because as I remember the last cost I saw was equivalent to 18 cents per share, a signifiant proportion of the earnings.

I have no idea how it will be reported, if its before taxes or after. And there may be other ways to handle it with less visible affect on reported earnings.

Perhaps the cost could also be found in a 10k report.

Sig,
Hi!!

Well, thanks for the "inside tip"... :o) XTO gas in the back yard huh? :o)

My dad justs keeps telling me he has to "live long enough to enjoy it all"... :o) Yet, I go down to see him for Easter and there he is @87 climbing a ladder cleaning out a gutter!! His doctor keeps telling him: "Ted, you're not in good shape...You're in great shape"...

XTO makes him smile...Even his grandson...Who currently manages over a $ billion in a fund tells him that the oil and gas industry (something Clinton researched while working for Morgan Stanley) is where it's at until this country let's the oil companies build some refineries...Anyhow, it makes him smile and at his age that's real important...

Thanks again...And, hope Jan and your family are well...

Best, Kemble
