Opinion is a product of internal logic. The external facts be damned.

It's an external fact that Saddam had no WMD, no alliance with Al Qaeda and was not an immediate threat to the security of the US...

However, the internal logic of Bush dictated that an invasion was needed right away. Internal logic...and the fact that the war plans were already drawn up...before 9-11.
